Children's Ministry

Welcome to Children's Ministry at Cherry Hills. We count it a privilege to serve our Lord Jesus Christ by serving your children! We have programs available for children (newborns-5th grade) on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights.

The theme for Children's Ministry at Cherry Hills is " Hide Away Bay Where kids learn to hide God's Word in their hearts." This is based on Psalm 119:11. Our goal and purpose is to help children apply God's Word to their lives.

       Discovering Hide Away Bay

• A visually exciting learning environment where God's Word is clearly seen.
• A fun, loving place to help develop positive feelings about church.
• A safe, clean, secure environment where the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of each child are met.
• A place where age-appropriate, biblically-based lessons are taught.

To protect our children we do background checks on all our volunteers. We also have simple but effective check-in and check-out procedures to ensure the safety of our children.

       Check-In Procedures In Hideaway Bay

All children will check out at the new area by the boats. Badges and claim cards will be collected at the check out area. Volunteers will check to make sure they match and will hang them back up for you. All K-5th grade children are reminded they cannot leave with out a parent presenting a claim card.

Volunteers are needed to help collect and sort name tags. Volunteers are also needed Tuesday or Wednesday mornings for a couple of hours to make name tags, organize badges and fix the well-used cards. Please contact the Church Office at (217) 546-4818.

       Youth Ministries

The mission of the Cherry Hills youth program is to lead students toward full devotion to Jesus Christ. Pastor Lee oversees ministries for Jr. High and Sr. High students.

Jr. High (6th-8th grades) meets on Wednesday nights from 5:45-8:15 p.m. at The Rock.

Sr. High (9th-12th grades) meets on Sunday nights from 5:30-8:30 at The Rock.

Sunday School Classes are also offered every Sunday morning for these groups.
