On Good Friday, April 7 we’ll gather at 5 and 7pm in the Worship Center for a Tenebrae service to remember and reflect on what Jesus has done for us. The word Tenebrae simply means “shadows” or “darkness” in Latin. We will hear the passion story retold as we move from light to dark in the room. The service will end with communion at the foot of the cross.
Parents: Childcare is available for ages birth through Kindergarten for both services. Good Friday is one of three special services we look forward to every year where we gather as families, but we want to make you aware that the service will have a somber tone, the room will gradually get darker, and we will ask people to enter and exit in silence. This can be a meaningful spiritual experience for families, but you might find it helpful to talk with and prepare your child for this unique service in advance.
