forming a generation to be the church

Our high school ministry is equipping students for lifelong faith through intergenerational discipleship, influential communities, and formative practices. We desire to send out graduates who’ve become healthy participants in the life of the church and the mission of God.

Mark tells us that Jesus is Lord. He has authority to forgive sins, heal on the sabbath, overthrow evil powers, and institute a new covenant. Yet the kingship of Jesus is surprisingly unlike the rulers of the city of man. In the city of God, the king is a servant. In this series, we are studying Mark’s action-packed, subversive narrative about Jesus, and considering what He wants to do in our own lives.

sunday nights

Students in 9th-12th grade gather to forge community, worship wholeheartedly, and learn the way of Jesus as we share life together. Dinner is available in the café, followed by worship, teaching, and small groups. Students engage in grade and gender specific groups led by screened, trained, and relational leaders. We encourage students to come as they are and bring a friend!

We want all our high school students immersed in the life of the church, so we encourage high school students to consider the adult Sunday services their primary place to gather on a Sunday morning. If your family is staying for 2 services, students may serve on a variety of serving teams alongside adults, and our high school Sunday school class is offered at the student building during the 9:30 am service. This group engages in bible-based reflection relevant to the daily life of high school students.
