As we finish our series on prayer this week we do so practicing corporate prayer or, in other words, praying together. The people of God have always been a people who gather together and call out to Him in community. This week we will practice this as church by gathering together for prayer and song at 7p on Sunday night June 7. We would love for you to join us.

Then, as you go about the rest of your week, look for opportunities to gather again with others. Lead the way in this if you are able. This will look different for each of us. The key is in taking the initiative as you are led by the Holy Spirit to humbly come before Him. The more we practice this, the more familiar it will become. The Lord loves a willing heart and will meet us as we move towards Him.

Finally, be encouraged that learning to pray is a lifelong endeavor. No one goes through a seven week series on prayer and has it all figured out. Continue to go back to previous weekly practices as needed and dig into new resources in your pursuit of learning more about this gift of communion with God. Spending time in this pursuit is time well spent. May we continually give ourselves to becoming a people who pray.
